Had some fun surfing and playing with my GoPro!

Another Beautiful Cape Town Sunrise at Work - 247/365
Sometimes I catch these sunrises just right going into work. Image was made in the Koeberg Nature Reserve.
Long Street, Cape Town 241/365
One of my passions is street photography. I really like capturing what I see at just a random moment on the street. Late at night you have to use a slower shutter speed and what I like about this image is that the guys standing there are sharp, but the girl is somewhat blurred due to her motion.
Steak in Cape Town - 239/365
Great steaks in South Africa. At this restaurant in Cape Town you select your type of steak, size, and thickness! The Famous Butchers Grill.

Smoke Trails on Long Street - 227/365
There's a place on Long Street in Cape Town that serves awesome burgers, "The Royale Eatery". There's usually a wait especially on weekend nights so they created a bar upstairs for customers called "The Waiting Room." The bar has evolved into more than just a waiting room for customers. It's gritty and relaxing with old couches and picnic tables on a balcony overlooking Long Street. The night that I went they had a great DJ that was mixing Rock and Roll Classics all night. It was so good that after having my burger I went back upstairs to have a beer. While I was taking it all in I came upon a backroom that had a Foosball table and a bunch of guys hanging out playing. It reminded me of my old college days so I asked if I could make some images and they were cool. In this image I really like the way the smoke trails from the cigarette as well as seeing how much fun these guys are having.
The Colorful Muizenberg Cabanas - 207/365
It never gets old seeing these Cabanas when I round the circle to Surfers Corner in Muizenberg, Cape Town, South Africa. They are the symbol of the Cape Peninsula towns of St. James, Muizenberg, and Khalk Bay. I really don't know how old they are, but you must walk gingerly on the planks of the steps as they seem like they'll collapse at any moment. I could photograph these cabanas all day and sometimes I do.
Styling the Goggles - 205/365
Nita was one of my first friends in Cape Town. She and her significant other have become great friends of mine. She is fun loving, kind, always helping people, and just plain crazy. Here she is modeling one of the many lost and found swim masks! She is a remarkable worker and it was sad to see her leave the gym, but it was a big plus for her and Adidas. A tremendous athlete also. She is from Kimberley, where the DeBeers Diamond Mine is located and where Gold was found early in South Africa's history.
Table Mountain Walking Sign - 191/365
I photographed for two reasons. First because it was pointing toward a crosswalk that did not exist, and secondly and more importantly the arrow lined up with Table Mountain in the distance and I thought it funny. As if to say to go hike Table Mountain.
Morning Clouds in Cape Town - 176/365
I love that my office is in Koeberg Nature Preserve. Very quiet. Walking trails everywhere. You never know if you're going to run into Zebra, Springbok, or many other species. Just be careful where you step. Many Cape Cobra's and Puff Adder's here. Not nice. In Winter they're hibernating so not a problem. Come summer they are out. I saw these clouds mid morning and I really liked the shapes and the color gradient as you looked farther East toward the mountains.
I Love Industrial Landscapes - 132/365
I Love Industrial Landscapes. I saw this along the highway and found it photographing appealing!
Farm Windmill, Cape Town
I pass this windmill frequently, and until lately the sky has always been bright blue behind it making it rather uninteresting. This time, I passed by and saw a much more dramatic sky than usual as a front was coming in. I pulled over to make this image. I love these windmills. They are everywhere and are seen and used as an unofficial symbol of the Western Cape. My 365 Project 117/365
