Neglecting your website and your blog is the number one photographer sin in today's social environment. Without your writings and photographs you start to lose your creativity, as well as your relevance. Additionally, it's necessary to acquire and post new work mainly for yourself. The easiest way to do that is to go out on a photowalk with a friend or group of friends. I had such a group in Cape Town, that I started and grew to over 300 photographers of all levels. It was a lot of fun and we all got something out of it. What I noticed was that my background in adult education along with photography came in very handy. I led quite a few workshops in Cape Town on a number of topics. Our MeetUps included On-Location Portrait Photography, Wildflower Excursions, General Photowalks, and Guest Speakers. Once I got back to the States I missed that camaraderie. So what to do? Start one here. So I started Miami Photography Group. We've had one MeetUp and currently have 55 members. Here are some images from our first MeetUp.
